Awl Snap started as a solo adventure, but it wouldn't be where it is today-or where it's headed-without a brilliant team behind it along the way. I've been lucky enough to have found some amazing, talented people over the years and they have really been integral in shaping Awl Snap into the kind of business I've dreamed of belonging to myself. I am not interested in finding the cheapest labor to keep costs low. Instead, my mission is to build a solid team where each player is heard, valued, and rewarded when showing up to Awl Snap every day. Production Artist, Part-Time- Holiday Season
The Production Artist for our team is someone who loves to shows up to work knowing their mission. At the end of the day they're super satisfied admiring their stack of finished products and putting a check on that to-do list. Greeting and helping customers in our retail shop will also be a part of this position.
Hours: This is a seasonal position for our busiest season of the year. We are looking to afternoon shifts (3-7pm) as well as Saturday and Sunday shifts (12-6). Once your schedule is determined flexibility or time off will likely not be permitted.
Starting responsibilities include :
- learning about our leathers and materials
- cutting and sewing our designs from start to finish
- working autonomously to complete assigned products
- talking with customers in our retail shop about our products and processes sales
- operating sewing machines and other small shop machinery
Ideal personality/work traits include:
- sewing experience
- ability to lift 30 lbs. and operate sewing machine and small presses
- ability to spend 2-3 hours at a time either standing at a work table or sitting at a sewing machine
- is excited about being part of a small, women-led business
Pay structure: Part-time hourly.
Compensation: $15/hr.

Shipping Associate, Part-Time
(filled)
We are looking for someone to help us pack and ship orders, 3x's per week. This position may be great for someone starting their own business who can learn from thee experience.
Responsibilities include :
- printing orders
- pulling (and managing inventory)
- packing and shipping orders
- managing shipping materials
- responding to customer order inquiries online
Ideal personality/work traits include:
- knowledge of Shopify platform (highly recommended)
- shipping experience is great but not required
- is really stoked on being part of a small, women-led business
- understands that November and December are busy season for a small business like ours and that all hands will be required on deck leading up to the holidays.
Pay Structure: Hourly.
Compensation: $15/hr
Schedule: Mon, Wed, and Friday, 3 hours per day. (total 9 hours/week).

Marketing Assistant, Part-Time or Freelance (filled)
We think of the Marketing Assistant role more like a Scientist:
- Study our audience and customers to form a strategy for outreach (hypothesis)
- Make clear goals for the strategy (prediction)
- Implement the strategy (experiment)
- Review results and use data to make new strategies (iterate)
Ideal personality/work traits include:
- knowledge of Shopify
- knowledge of Google analytics and Ads
- knowledge of Facebook, IG, and Pinterest marketing ads
- knowledge of Adobe CS, Canva, and various media platforms
- nerds out over spreadsheets and analyzing data
- is really stoked on being part of a small, women-led business
- understands that November and December are busy season for a small business like ours and that all hands will be required on deck leading up to the holidays.

Production Manager, Full time (filled)
As a small company, each of us often wear many hats. We see this position as the "next in charge" underneath Erin, the Owner. The ideal candidate will bring a wide set of skills, well-rounded experience, and will be eager to grow with us as a company and assume higher roles as the company grows.
Starting responsibilities include :
- learning all nuances of our leathers and materials
- full production: cutting and sewing our designs from start to finish
- tracking materials in inventory, updating spreadsheets
- setting production goals and managing the completion
- talking with customers in our retail shop and processing sales
- working autonomously to complete assigned projects
- ability to operate sewing machines and other small shop machinery
Responsibilities added over time include:
- full production planning and inventory management
- placing and managing orders with suppliers
- responsible for production goals and managing the completion
- training and managing production assistants
- crafts, sewing, or manufacturing experience (highly preferred),
- management experience (preferred)
- excellent autonomy with decision-making
- has knowledge of Shopify, Adobe CS, Excel, Numbers, Google sheets
- is really stoked on being part of a small, women-led business
